The Bible shows heroes of faith in whom we can see the prototype of our Messiah the Savior. Through the Jewish woman named Hadassah (queen Esther) He brings His salvation to the Jewish people. All things are possible to God.
Queen Esther making a hard choice
For me, the story of the book “Esther” is a calling to each believer, who trusts in God and His Son Yeshua. God brings each of us to this world and He rises us to the heights, so that we shall say “yes” to Him, and shall seek His will, not our own. Then He will be able to make great things though us – small and weak people. It is a challenge for us – to hear His calling and to obey Him.
The image of queen Esther, embodied in the figure, is dear to me because she is shown here at the most critical moment of her whole life. She had reached her royal dignity. And her uncle Mordechai asks her to do something for which she had reached this high position. He suggests her to endanger her life to death. And by doing this, to save her people.
Esther is shown in the moment of making a hard choice and saying to Mordecai: “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.” Esth. 4:16.
